Isn’t it funny how when you focus on something, you see more of the exact thing you’re focusing on?

Like when you buy a new car, all of a sudden, you see your car design all over the road!

Well this just happened when I shared a random thought on Facebook about a minute ago.

Here’s the thought I shared.

The Secret to LASTING Success:

“Do something every day that causes you “some” discomfort. Whether it’s learning something new, doing something new, or tackling something you’ve been putting off.

I guarantee you, if you do this consistently for an entire year, you’ll be that much better off in your business and compared to your competitors who are avoiding the things you are doing.”

Immediately after I posted that thought, I got into ACTION.

I figured I might as well follow my own advice, and do something NEW starting today. I’ve been wanting to watch more TED TV videos — to learn from and be inspired from. So I decided to pull up TED.com and watch a TED video during dinner (instead of some random sitcom from NetFlix).

Guess what I come across? Matt Cutts saying the exact same thing as my random thought posted on Facebook just 5 minutes earlier!

Cool how that works, eh? Now it’s YOUR turn! What’s something you’ve been wanting to do, see, experience, tackle, and just keep putting it off? For whatever reason, we WANT more than we actually PURSUE. So let’s FLIP that right now, shall we? Let’s do it together. And celebrate our success in 30 days.

It Couldn’t Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it”;
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
