Innovative Thinking – funny video

I’ve never been a fan of repeating “sayings” that everybody else uses.

One of my favorite lines is from the movie, Good Will Hunting when Matt Damon’s character asks the girl he wants to see to go out for “caramels” instead of asking what every other guy asks – to go out for coffee or drinks.

I like that! Original thinking!

Innovative Thinking!

I also don’t understand why some sayings are repeated because they make no sense whatsoever!

So I tend to say them wrong if I’m ever caught saying them at all.

I can relate to Data here in this funny video… see if you can relate too:

Funny Video – water slide – doggie style

Sometimes, it’s the smallest things in life that makes us smile, laugh, pee our pants – OMG! Did I just SAY that?! LOL – Well – heck – it’s true… and this video starring a Doberman is no different.

If only we adults can enjoy the simple pleasures in life like this lil guy…

Now – I wonder… while I’m playing in LA, are my friends who have a Doberman teaching my dogs to do this to occupy themselves while I’m away? hmmm… I wonder what my dogs do when I’m not there… which is rare… but now I’m curious.

Enjoy the 60 second smile!

Networking video to give you some laughs – TIMME

Ok – try not to feel sorry for me as I venture off for the next two weeks to “network” and speak and promote my book, blog software and business in California.

Sure, I’ll be busy… but if this “Networking” Video gives you any indication how “tough” it is living the business owner’s lifestyle, how networking for joint venture partners and deals is REALLY done – then you’ll not only NOT feel bad for me… you’ll want to JOIN me in San Francisco at the WIMME event every year!

* WIMME = World Internet Marketing Main Event Formally called TIMME which the above video was from the night after we spoke from the main stage to promote our book, Secrets of Online Persuasion, and Blogi360 – originally called Blog Interactive 360 when the course was first released.

I gotta’ say, ever since that night, Harris Fellman (the funny guy who coined the word “PLOG” won my lasting friendship with all the laughs he gave me! Plus – he’s a really cool guy with a ton of integrity.

Oh – btw: if anyone’s wondering where I am at this networking soiree, I’m behind the camera – and even though I was primarily drinking iced tea, these guys had me laughing so freaking hard, I couldn’t hold the camera straight.

Then – you’ll catch me in the pictures at the end – I’m right in the middle on the last shot.

Note to self – at THIS year’s event in San Fran – give the camera to someone ELSE while shooting video – so I can say Hi to all my MySpace friends.

Anyhoo – I’m looking forward to getting away, and “networking” at this week’s WIMME in San Francisco. We’ll be speaking Saturday morning (that’s tomorrow morning) – as we’ll be hosting the “New Media Marketing Mimosa Party” soooo – let’s hold the evening partying for SATURDAY Night, so we can celebrate the event’s success and “network” with all of you who are here in San Fransisco with me.

PS: Thanks to the powerful QuanSite, I can be in TWO places at one time! Right now, I’m at my booth in San Fransisco, hopefully entertaining a bunch of cool folks at the WIMME event, while my QuanSite is busy posting and updating social networking sites FOR me – so I don’t have to! Ahhhh – Here’s a toast to having the best systems for your business so you can have a life – or make money while QuanSite does the “grunt work” so I don’t have to! LOL!

Funny Friday Video Break – crossing language barriers

Kicking off your Labor Day weekend with a funny video that at first… you’ll wonder why I am sharing it with you… but then… as you see how this international video crosses all language barriers, and your side starts to ache from laughing at the “human tetris” game you’ll see played out on your screen – you’ll understand why I share this for Funny Friday.

Funny Video (no words needed) Human Tetris Round One

Here’s the backstory of these funny videos that transcend the language barrier.

My friend Simon Leung (AKA: The google-god) sent this to me last week in an IM.

At first, as I scratched my head, I thought… WTH?! (What the heck?!) WHY is Simon sending this to me?! Doesn’t he know that:

A. I’m really busy?!
and
B. I’m really not into Asian Game Shows?
(or at least I didn’t THINK I was… until, I clicked the link…)

All of a sudden, I began to appreciate why Simon HAD to share this with me. And I caught the bug! Despite the fact that I couldn’t understand one word they were saying, I realized something significant.

Communication doesn’t require words.

Think about that for a moment before you dispute it.

Think of all the different ways we can communicate without using words.

Have you ever watched Hula Dancers and understood the story being told without one word uttered?

Or communicated with someone using ASL (American Sign Language) where your hands, facial expressions and body language express what you want to convey?

Using sign language may even communicate emotions better than using mere words, as the emotion gets across in a deeper, richer way with the intensity of your body language when you communicate using ASL.

Or been to an Italian Labor Day Party where you’ve got to quickly jump back to avoid a hand gesture hitting you in the gut as you walk from one side of the room to the other with a drink in your hand?

So – I repeat…

Communication doesn’t require words.

Funny Video (no words needed) Human Tetris Round Two

I forwarded this video to a good friend of mine to test out my theory… that you really don’t need words to communicate, and to see if this funny video would transcend all communication barriers.

My friend who typically needs sub-titles, captions or be able to read lips on a YouTube video in order to understand every word being spoken, (as he happens to be deaf), apparently didn’t need to hear or see one word spoken in order to start busting out laughing out loud as he watched this funny video.

As one impossible pattern after another approached, he’d IM me the shape that came through as we watched it together and shared one of the best laughs of the week!

So much so – that I even watched Round Two of Human Tetris that Simon sent me after I was ROTFLOLIAPMP (Rolling On The Floor Laughing Out Loud, I almost pee’d my pants!) from the first funny video.

So – THANK You Simon! For not only making me laugh, and giving me a great Ab Workout, but for making me realize how humor is universal. And for helping me realize that words are not always necessary to communicate our message.

Watch the funny videos – and let me know if you agree, disagree, busted out laughing, or are still scratching your head thinking you need to understand the words to understand the comedy.

Ok – and for those of you who are now addicted to laughing on Funny Friday – Voila! Here’s another one for ya’ – just for fun!

Funny Video (no words needed) Human Tetris Round Three

Now ya’ gotta’ tell me how many you watched in the comment box below AND what your favorite moves were.
