Two At a Time

A (wo)man’s health can be judged by which (s)he takes two at a time – pills or stairs.

taking care of yourself

When we truly care for ourselves, it becomes possible to care far more profoundly about other people. The more alert and sensitive we are to our own needs, the more loving and generous we can be toward others.

by the inch it’s a cinch

By the inch it’s a cinch, and by the yard it’s hard

I learned this quote from Zig Ziglar 15 years ago. But only in the past 5 years do I understand its significance.

As a lifestyle coach, showing people how to live better, more successfully so that they have the health, energy and fitness they need for sustainable success; I’ve noticed that almost every lifestyle strategy that works, in the modern day, is one where you make small incremental improvements.

Heroic efforts of dieting and exercise do not work, and these acts are not sustainable. But getting the health, energy and fitness outcomes you want, as a consequence of how you live is attainable and sustainable.

Shorter, more intense bouts of improvement are a lot more effective, and more fun, for business owners especially.

It’s how you live day by day that matters.
